Gags are used in three cases: the inability to make loud sounds, the inability to articulate speech, the general state of discomfort. In order for your ward not to be able to make loud sounds, you need a large gag that will tightly press the tongue to the bottom of the mouth and fix the jaw well, preventing it from moving. If the task is simply to create discomfort, then gags with a minimalist volume and the ability to breathe will do. Sometimes there may also be a question about its reliability - is it possible to get rid of the gag yourself without the help of hands. There is also the issue of material safety. It should be made from natural materials such as food grade plastic, safe grade rubber, natural latex, leather, wood or fabric. If any dyes were used, they must also comply with hygienic standards.
